Day 2 - Monday Aug 29

This morning we visited a school in a visiting aldea (village) with almost 300 kids. In four different class rooms, we taught the kids about basic hygiene, dental care and the gospel.  It was amazing to see their rapt attention to the gringos who came to tell them about Jesus Christ with a soccer ball of colors based on the wordless book.  After teaching them, we took them out to play jump rope, soccer, frisbee and hackey sack with them.  The Hogar de Vida administrator told us the kids will long remember this day when the Americans came to visit, teach and play with them.

This afternoon we came back to the orphanage and spent the afternoon with the kids. From playing basketball and football to swinging and book reading, the kids ate up our attention.  They love having someone to play with and some diversion from school work and chores.  They really enjoy being tickled, playing catch and take walks.

Tomorrow, the medical team is heading out to conduct another clinic in another aldea while he rest of the team heads to another school for more hygien, dental and gospel teaching.

Thank you for your love, prayers and support.  We can really feel them.
